Still Life

My current work explores the concept of "painting with light" in its purest form, a phrase that has resonated with me for many years. Returning to photography after a long hiatus, I felt compelled to rediscover this technique, not through digital manipulation, but as a tangible, exploratory process. This desire to work directly with light led me to a simple, almost utilitarian approach: the use of readily available household torches to illuminate still life arrangements of florals. Through long exposures and careful manipulation of these light sources, I strive to create a studio-quality effect, revealing the inherent beauty and subtle nuances of my subjects in a way that feels both organic and deeply personal. This process of "painting" with light allows me to explore the interplay of illumination and shadow, uncovering hidden dimensions within the familiar and transforming everyday objects into studies of light and form.
